Hotel Figueroa has welcomed guests to Downtown Los Angeles since 1926 with its historic unconventional purpose and style. Ninety years later and after more than a year of transformation and renovation, we celebrate the reopening of our property in the midst of a rebirth of the Downtown community, set to reopen late spring 2017.
Downtown Los Angeles’ burgeoning city scene is about to experience a culinary renaissance with the launch of two new restaurants and four bars located at the historic Hotel Figueroa, To develop and execute the various food and beverage concepts for the hotel. F&B Management Company APICII (www.apicii.com) has partnered with four-time James Beard Award nominated Chef Casey Lane, Executive Chef and Owner of the Tasting Kitchen in Venice Beach, CA., and industry leader in craft bartending Dushan Zaric, the mastermind behind world-famous New York bars Employees Only and Macao Trading Company.
Serve as the on-property point person with regards to all day-to-day financial items and activities
Facilitate communication of F&B financial information between restaurant management, operating company, outside accounting team, hotel ownership, and hotel management finance team
Job Responsibilities (without limitation)
Forecasting and budgeting:
Work with restaurant management team to create and distribute weekly sales and cost forecasts and submit to outside accounting team
Assist management company in preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
Expense and invoice management:
Collection, organization, and scanning of invoices on a daily basis
Periodic account statement review
Review of coding accuracy by outside accounting team
Compile information for bi-weekly submission to outside accounting team
Tip sheet as prepared by FOH management
Hours by person as submitted by FOH and BOH management
Reconcile credit cards tips & cash tips on daily or weekly basis
Review final payroll reports for accuracy
Contract management – retain and organize copies of service agreements, contracts, and recurring expense items
Communicate cost accruals to outside account team
Systems management – serve as primary point of contact for financial-related IT systems; pursue customer support needs on behalf of restaurant management; create recurring reports for distribution; create custom reports and analyses as requested
Revenue analytics, labor management, tip management, POS, F&B costing, inventory management, purchasing, reservations, event sales, invoice management, etc.
Liaise with hotel finance department to collaborate and support delivery of all necessary information to hotel ownership
Facilitate capital expenditure requests to ownership as necessary
Respond to ad hoc analytics and information requests
Coordinate with all departments for inventory processes
Participate in monthly P&L reviews
