Job Description:/h3:
Job Summary
Responsible for the overall review and audit of corporate accounts.
Reports to Controller.
Supervises: AP Team.

Job Duties
The position generally consists of the following duties:

Corporate Accounting:
:
Supervises AP/AR, and maintains GL pertaining to corporate books (specifically the management company).
:
Monitor payment of personal/real property taxes for all properties.
:
Assist in posting year: end entries.
:
Assist with special projects as assigned by controller.
:
Prepare Journal Entries for account reclassification after being approved by Controller.
:
Prepare all financial statements of management and corporate entities.
:
Monitor rent charges in Commercial properties and make sure changes are posted accordingly.
:
Monitor fee collections and postings.
:
Audit monthly intercompany billing reports to make sure all charges are accurate before billing is done by the 20th of the month for Commercial and the 25th of the month for Residential (WC, property, general liability, and excess/umbrella).
:
Assist in the preparation of insurance renewals for both Commercial, Residential, and Corporate.
:
Prepare payment allocation and premium comparison when required.
:
Assist in collection disbursement for insurance from lenders.
:
Monitor payment of personal/real property taxes all properties.
:
Review and enforce internal controls

Supervise AP Group:
:
Supervise five AP Specialist.
:
Assist, guide, and train AP staff in processing invoices maintaining vendor ledger, and completion of full AP cycle.
Treasury Management:
:
Maintain balance.
:
Initiate stop payment requests, open/close accounts, provide check image as requested.
:
Additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
:
CPA license (Required)
:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting (Required)
:
2+ years of broad based accounting for real estate firms/companies (Desired)
:
2+ years active supervisory experience (Required)
:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
:
Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi:task
:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
:
Ability to multi:task and work in a fast:paced environment
:
Must possess strong work ethic
:
Must be a team player
:
Yardi experience (Required)
