Summary of Audit Manager / Audit Senior Manager Role: The individual will focus on client service for some of the Firms 100 public charities and private foundations. The individual will contribute to the success of the Firm by providing superior client service and relationship management, developing technical and consulting capabilities, providing leadership, managing resources, developing business, and by mentoring staff. Expectations of the Audit Manager / Audit Senior Manager to Include: * Providing highest-quality assurance compliance and advisory services to public charities and private foundations; * Establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with clients; * Identifying opportunities for expanded services to existing clients (through the development of trusted advisor status with clients served); * Developing outside relationships with a goal of fostering long-term business development opportunities (through involvement in leadership roles with and in professional groups, community service, and personal relationships); * Supervising, training and mentoring the Firms audit professionals; * Giving presentations at internal and external educational seminars; and * Managing engagements, including billing and the budget. Qualifications of the Audit Manager / Audit Senior Manager: * Licensed CPA with 5 to 7 years of nonprofit organization audit experience, ideally in a regional or national accounting firm (licensing in any state acceptable, but CA reciprocity licensing expected); * Bachelors degree in Business or related field from an accredited college/university; * Driven self-starter with the desire and ability to work independently and a proven record of good judgment; * Experience managing multiple client engagements; * History of effective supervisory skills and the ability to train and mentor staff * Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information; * Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial approach to client interactions; and * Genuine interest in community involvement (service on nonprofit boards a plus).
