Job Description Reporting to CEO and participating as a member of the senior management team the Controller responsibilities include Manage the Finance team of 5 team members including Accounting, Payroll, Financial Analysis, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, IT & Collections Oversee the company’s GL accounting, AP, AR, payroll, tax, treasury, and compliance functions, establishing process and implementing new systems and/or controls Perform treasury function; manage bank accounts and cash flows, ensuring adherence to trust accounting guidelines applicable to property managers Prepare and monitor regular detailed financial and cash projections and forecasts Responsible for month-end close process; establish and coordinate schedules to ensure timely and accurate financial statement presentation including analysis and recommendations to CEO Partner cross-functionally with Commercial and Field Operations leadership on process improvements and new business initiatives at all times displaying a collaborative, team orientated work ethic Work closely with CEO on evaluation of potential acquisition targets including performing confidential due diligence, contracts negotiation and agreement review For new markets, determine necessary business and tax licensing requirements and ensure they are obtained timely Work closely with our field operations team to ensure all permits, licenses and registration are compliant and all taxes are remitted in a timely manner Manage the annual CPA engagement and preparation of GAAP compliant company’s financial statements; oversee the preparation of audit schedules, provide supporting documentation and manage relationship with external CPA’s Manage insurance coverages, claims and premiums Lead the development, documentation and maintenance of process, technology and organizational improvements to strengthen internal controls, improve efficiency, accuracy and lower cost Research technical accounting issues for compliance and provide recommendations and guidance to the business Requirements include: Enjoy working in a fast paced, growing, entrepreneurial business Experience and success working in a collaborative, team oriented environment 5 years plus experience managing a Finance department Detail oriented Willing to learn, teach and mentor, ensuring personal and Finance team growth and development Finance degree, preferably with major in Accounting….CPA a plus Experience working with Accounting systems…IntAcct experience a plus Developed Excel experience Full business references and work history a must Company Description Grand Welcome is one of the fastest growing vacation rental and property management companies in the United States.
