Personal Lines : Account Manager
Reports To: Personal Lines Manager
Working in a small agency environment with a great team, this individual will work with Personal Lines Clients, responding to questions regarding their policies, explaining products and services, processing client requests, completing new applications and preparing quotes. Provides a customer experience that is consistent across all touch points. Promotes excellent customer relations by providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor and willingness to help at all times providing professional resolution and service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Maintain professional relationships with clients, agency personnel and company staff via prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and accurate service.
* Answer client inquiries as needed relating to their policies, such as account status, coverage, and premium information.
* Apply knowledge of products and services to best meet client needs.
* Receive and process client requests via telephone, mail or walk:in to include completing paperwork, entering and updating account information on insureds risk file, requesting endorsements, completing RMV paperwork, and confirming vehicles registered.
* Complete applications for new business and submit to the companies for processing within 24:48 hours of writing the policy.
* Create new risk files via computer and enter insureds policy and coverage data. Enter follow:up to track new business or change rate class (date first licensed).
* Maintain contact with clients so their renewal policies reflect current values and their coverage is broadened where applicable. Send renewal letter with each policy advising recommendations including liability or deductible, etc. Add VRC.
* Market accounts when sending home renewals, no auto, no VRC, no umb, INC OBI etc.
* Review insureds renewals for accuracy.
* Prepare price quotes for new and existing clients as requested.
* Understand and support the companys sales policies and procedures so as to provide proper and effective service for clients.
* Handle and resolve client complaints and/or concerns in an expeditious and tactful manner. Advise Personal Lines Manager regarding major issues.
* Document all contact with clients in traxlog and gather expiration dates, account sell and to acquire information as to their insurance needs.
* Document all problems or issues with carriers for Personal Lines Manager to discuss with Marketing Representative.
* Utilize weekly follow:up lists to monitor pending endorsements and other items on the list, and document in traxlog instances where endorsements exceed a four:week turnaround time.
* Follow expiration lists to assure policy renewal. Provide Processing Department with declaration if system needs to be updated.
* Maintain knowledge for the assigned carrier pertaining to company policies, procedures relating to underwriting, rating and billing. Maintain, review and communicate changes for the carrier assigned and highlight the changes during the monthly Personal Lines Meeting when needed.
* Maintain expertise regarding the insurance products offered by different insurers.
* Attend seminars to broaden knowledge and share information on important issues with Personal Lines Department.
* Assist in on:going training of newer personnel.
* Demonstrates compliance with banking business laws and regulations as defined in company policies and procedures pertinent to the position.
* Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
* Regular attendance is essential to this position.
