We are seeking experienced tax professionals to join our Los Angeles tax team as we grow to a top 50 US accounting firm. Major Responsibilities & Duties: Plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects. Supervise, train, review, and mentor staff and interns on tax projects. Prepare complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations. Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements. Possess an understanding of Federal, state and foreign tax issues. Requirements & Qualifications: Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude. Ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines. Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 public accounting firm. Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance. Proficiency in MS Office software programs, ProSystems, or similar tax software, Engagement, XCM, Axcess Document, QuickBooks or similar accounting software. 40 hours plus overtime during tax busy season (February to April and September and October). Education and Licenses: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Advanced degree in accounting is highly desirable. CPA certification (active).
