Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client is looking for an organized and driven Staff Accountant with emphasis on Banking & Cash Management experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be someone with strong analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills, you will be extremely hands-on and detail oriented, performing financial functions including preparing, processing and monitoring activities relating to month end closing, understanding of cash vs accrual method in accounting financials, cash management, pro-forma, cash flow, budgets, cash receipts, supporting controller instituting appropriate banking and cash management controls, working with business units and total group cash management systems, internal auditing in accordance with GAAP; ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance. Job Duties may include as needed: Ensuring compliance with requirements per GAAP Full understanding of Financials, P&L, Balance Sheet, General Ledger Cash Management Cash Receipts Cash Flow Statements Assisting with budgeting and forecasting Measuring and documenting project percentage of completion Calculating and entering journal entries and maintaining supporting records and files Assisting with month end / year end close process Reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts Answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data Bank Reconciliations Credit Card transactions Reconciliations Knowledge in Accounts Receivables & Accounts Payables Work closely with finance team and departmental managers Meeting deadlines Helping shape process and controls Must Have: 6 – 8 years’ experience Degree in Finance, Accounting or Equivalent Business Cash Management & Banking experience A strong working knowledge of accounting in accordance with GAAP A strong working knowledge of General ledger, A/R & A/P Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent documentation, oral and written communication skills to be able to perform with all levels of management Ability to prioritize workload, meet frequent deadlines and be comfortable in a fast paced and changing environment Ability to work with minimal supervision and to handle frequent interruptions or requests. Strong Excel and Google apps skills Ability to adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge Proficiency with QuickBooks A positive attitude
