We have an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant at our headquarters in Culver City. A well-established, non-profit organization is seeking a full-time administrative assistant with exemplary work ethic, customer service orientation and deep commitment to supporting families in need.

Full-Time Administrative Assistant to support organization's efforts. Ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades with a "no job is too big or too small" and "can do" attitude. Other key qualifications include:

• Heavy communication with clients both by telephone and email
• Compose and type correspondence (emails, letters, proposals)
• Organize and maintain file system
• Answer and screen telephone calls
• Coordinate schedules and make appointments
• Conduct research and compile statistical reports on grants and fundraising opportunities
• Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas
• Makes copies and pdf's of correspondence or other printed materials
• Upload and download photos
• Fundraising knowledge is a plus
• Handle a busy environment with multi-tasking assignments
• Effectively schedule student programming
• Maintain and enhance organization of the center, including offices, speech rooms, teacher lounge, games/materials, kitchen, science lab, and basement (sets/props/costumes)


• 2+ years of proven experience/ Bachelor's Degree required
• Experience in the education field a PLUS but not required
• Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Needs to excel interpersonal relationships
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Work well with a diverse set of people, from high-end clients to children and families
• Customer service driven
• Highly organized and self-driven
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a MUST
• Excellent filing skills
• Great phone demeanor
• Knowledge and use of Mac OS computers, Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
• Experience using Photoshop, iMovie, Illustrator and/or Graphic Design background

• Able to multi-task
• Provide general assistance on fundraising efforts
• Likes children and passionate about helping them succeed
• Willingness to work occasional extra hours for events
• Extremely PROFICIENT in computer programs (including but not limited to MAC Operating Systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe CreativeSuite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Proactive problem-solver and willingness to take leadership role of projects
• Adaptability in high pressure position
• Meets deadlines in fast paced environment
• Assists with creation of marketing materials and prepping mailers for walkathon, mail campaigns, board meetings and fundraising events
• Able to maintain confidentiality and be discreet with information
• Working knowledge of social networking and ability to leverage for volunteer efforts
• Organized and able to maintain database
• Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot office equipment (e.g. copier, office phones, Internet)
• Position is based in our Culver City office and requires reliable transportation and long-term commitment
