I'm offering a great small group, HANDS ON photo class, with a lot of shooting & includes demonstrations & instruction.

This photo class will be 3 1/2 hours in length & held at a beautiful location in North Orange County, CA.. (+ Union Station, LA coming again soon!)

Capture GREAT headshots and "people pictures" outdoors in this special photography class!
There will be a lot of picture taking & practice capturing images & be given "Assignments" along the way to help you get those beautiful images!

Workshop #12 - Outdoor Portraiture $89 (special for Backpage Readers)

~ How to choose the locations & backgrounds
~ Advice on how to use natural reflectors & "see" light
~ Keeping interest while keeping distractions OUT of the image.
~ Choosing LIGHT & DARK parts of a scene (& what to watch out for!)
~ Basic posing techniques & getting great facial expressions
~ Using correct camera settings
~ Using the correct lens & lens settings
~ Tips on focusing ( "recomposing", adjusting focusing points, using manual focus, etc..)
~ Using DOF (Depth Of Field) & selective focus to your advantage
~ Guidance on managing white balance, color tone & intensity
~ Tips on when to use an inexpensive & easy-to-carry reflector
~ Deciding when to use your speedlight or "pop-up" flash
~ Practice using your "pop up" flash to get nice "fill" lighting
~ Using an external "on-camera" flash easily outdoors
~ A flow chart worksheet for you to take home (All the steps & tips I teach you!)

** This is a LARGE, beautiful park with great scenery, large trees with a LOT of shade, small lakes with ducks & geese, squirrels, picturesque bridges and pathways,etc...
AND you will be meeting other great DSLR shooters :)

** This will be "Free-Form" workshop. It is less structured than my "Beginner class". The outline above is only used as a guide. I will be doing demonstrations, giving tips as you shoot and fielding questions!

I offer a variety of workshops; ALL are more about "application", practicing & a lot of Q's & A's (& sharing), so you get a better grasp of shooting people in various locations & lighting conditions!
