The Cal State LA Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering free income tax preparation services to individuals who make $54,000 or less and need assistance preparing and filing tax returns. In addition, there will be free services on financial literacy and asset building, as well as microcredit and business planning.

For what to bring to the VITA site: The event is organized in partnership with the IRS, California State Board of Equalization, State Farm and H&R Block.

Cal State LA VITA will be available on a first come, first served basis every Saturday morning, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., from Feb. 3 through Apr. 14. Appointments are not necessary. (Parking permits may be purchased from dispensers located in Structures A or B.) For information, call (213) 278-2070.
