The American Funds Digital team is working on exciting opportunities supporting a broad range of audiences across web, email, mobile and social media. Reaching our customers through compelling digital solutions is imperative for serving their needs. The Digital team is supported by the organization through a broad commitment of resources and recognition of our efforts.
As a Digital Product Manager you will be instrumental in managing the development of a vision, strategy and roadmap for the digital channels. There will be opportunities to make a deep impact on our customers and the businesses that we support. At the same time, there are unique challenges and complex problems to be solved, requiring both creativity and analytical rigor.
Specifically, the Digital Product Manager will be responsible for engaging with partners in the business to align business strategies with user needs, leading to the development of digital strategies and capabilities that drive business performance and improved client loyalty. The area of focus for this Product Manager will be Investment Research and Investment Tools designed for our Intermediaries and Salesforce.
Collaborate with business partner(s), user experience, and technology teams, to envision products that support key business strategies, ultimately developing and maintaining the digital roadmap for Investment Research and Tools
Oversee activities around Investment Research and Tools across Digital experiences, including planning, implementation and ongoing monitoring
Discover product opportunities for the websites/digital channels that are valuable, usable, and feasible
Facilitate and coordinate idea generation and input from stakeholders, team members and audience members while socializing product vision, strategy, roadmap and key initiatives broadly with stakeholders and teams
Ensure that strategies and plans are coordinated and sequenced against the backdrop of broader business and digital strategies and initiatives
Develop deep customer insights and business knowledge and expertise and continuously expand that knowledge to envision opportunities that are valuable
Develops measures that track and monitor overall product/program performance in addition to ensuring measurement on specific project initiatives including ROI
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Digital and/or User Experience
A strong investment acumen with 5:10 years of industry experience with investments, mutual funds, and retirement plans required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate across all organizational levels including presenting to senior level executives
Ability to sell ideas through persuasion and influencing
Proven experience developing complex business cases
