Full-time Regular Hours Per Week: 40 Days of Week: M-F Shift Schedule: Specific Work Schedule: Posting Options: Internal and External Position Summary:

This position will support LMU enterprise systems related to student success with analysis of business requirements, process logic, workflow, and data interaction and with construction of computer code for new systems, for the enhancement of existing systems, for data manipulation, and for diagnosis and correction of system problems. In addition, support LMU users and insure their strategic success with the thorough understanding of enterprise systems, their current state and future roadmaps. The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for high-level analysis, development, interpretation, and professional development related to the specific systems they maintain and evolve.

Position Specific Responsibilities:

* Consults with appropriate constituents to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, and features to design new procedures or improve existing processes.

* Conducts technical research and recommends upgrades or development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs.

* Reviews, implements and upgrades complex systems and processes related to client operations. Understands and follows the ITS change management process.

* Elicits, analyzes, defines, and documents user requirements for data workflow and logical processes including interfaces with other systems for the purpose of more efficient operation.

* Provides technical support and training to ITS and client staff in the proper use of systems and related products.

* Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to use, develop or modify an application.

* Evaluates requests from users for hardware, software, and problem-solving activities.

* Develops code for reports, scripts, programs, integration between complex systems (commercial, cloud or in-house developed).

* Maintains communications and positive relations between users and ITS.

* Takes a technical leadership role in IT projects or initiatives.

* Presents and provides verbal and written status updates and reports as requested.

* Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Experience/Qualifications:

* Minimum 7 years of system analysis, process analysis and programming experience in progressively responsible positions.

* Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts. Understanding of database file/table structure, report generation, data extract and load for databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.

* Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, C# .Net, ASP.Net (Net preferred)

* Broad understanding of major technology concepts like client-server, web, certificates, web services and/or the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) preferred.

* Excellent critical thinking skills and a customer-service driven attitude. Ability to juggle various priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports, user documentation and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information.

Optionally:

* Experience with the business requirements and the lifecycle of a Higher Education institution.

* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Campus Labs' OrgSync and/or ARMS Athletics software.

* Experience with source control (Git, Subversion) and change control management

Required Education:
