Req ID: 42781The Technical Solution Executive (TSE) works with the Insight Account Executive (AE) & Services Account Executive (SAE) to manage and grow Microsoft sales opportunities within an assigned region and/or market(s). The TSE will focus on achieving sales and profit goals through verbal and written interaction with the clients, onsite visits, account planning, partner teaming and account team engagement, as well as solution development and implementation. This position leverages personal Microsoft technical knowledge as well as available internal/external organizational resources to develop and propose Microsoft solutions to clients. The TSE is considered a technical expert that will obtain the certifications necessary to support required areas of expertise. The incumbent skills are directed at the technical knowledge, solution selling strategies and best practices of how to position Microsoft-specific technologies to clients. Essential Functions of the Job: Provide support on Microsoft sales opportunities brought forward by Insight AEs and SAEs. Provide engagement throughout the sales process, including: Discovery, client Q&A visits, project scope identification, signed contractual agreement, and project delivery.Must be able to accommodate a flexible travel schedule and attend meetings/client visits within the assigned geographic territory and other locations as assigned.Serve as an expert Microsoft technical resource for the AE/SAEs and Sales Specialist overlays for a catalog of solutions, including but not limited to: SharePoint, Office 365, Lync, Active Directory, Windows Server, and more.Consult with internal/external clients on Microsoft related products and services. Build strong relationships with local Insight and Microsoft teams. Attend regular meetings.Work with AE/SAEs in assessing customer needs via face to face meetings, conference calls, and email.Develop and present technically valid solutions to the end-user by utilizing Microsoft specific configuration tools. Conduct technology demonstrations and white boarding sessions with clients. Utilize MS PowerPoint for client presentations.Understand client's business objectives and technical needs in order to identify scope of the project and deduce the solution and delivery.Perform required research and investigation to identify and create thorough, accurate technical solution proposals based on client requirements.Attend local key Microsoft events and training sessions.Create scopes of work for services related to solution proposals.Maintain professional relationships with AEs/SAEs, Microsoft, and clients.Represents Insight in a professional and business-like manner and communicates effectively with Insight associates and stakeholders.Some travel required.Additional duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or related selling experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Three-plus years of experience in positions related to Microsoft field sales and technical solutions support.Advanced level of understanding in Microsoft technologies.Preferred: Completion of Microsoft technical/sales training & certification in relevant areas of technology, including: MCP/MCTS, MCSE, and more. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESGeneralAbility to effectively present information to clients, Executive management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.Ability to create detailed PowerPoint presentations.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical documents, including client Requests For Proposal.Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.Ability to write effectively and professionally using original or innovative techniques or style.Ability to make effective and/or persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to clients, top management and/or boards of directors. SpecificAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general, technical procedures, or regulations.Ability to write reports and/or business correspondence.Ability to effectively position, present and sell Microsoft solutions.
