Responsibilities 13;
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Windows Virtual Systems Engineer for an internship opportunity. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of the Enterprise Computing Infrastructure Department, which designs and maintains enterprise server and storage infrastructure for the Aerospace Corporation. In particular, the intern will take part in the analysis, design and deployment of the next level remote access solution and profile driven virtualization platform for the Corporation.

:Provide Citrix and VMWare analytics and visualization for internal customers
:Develop/maintenance of visualizations such as reports, and dashboards
:Deploy virtual Windows servers
:Assist with maintaining security patches for Windows servers
:Investigate and tune performance alerts for Windows servers
:Audit corporate Windows systems to ensure corporate requirements are met
:Automate systems administration tasks
:Applies standard enterprise techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed system administration tasks.

:Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related program
:Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
:Minimum GPA 3.0
:Must be able to obtain a security clearance
:US Citizenship required
:Knowledge of systems architecture and networking fundamentals
:Basic knowledge of design, implementation and operation of a networked Windows server
:System administration experience with Windows servers

:GPA 3.5 or higher
:Active security clearance
:Experience with MS Excel Pivot Tables
:Experience with management and administration of Active Directory
:Experience with PowerShell
:Experience with VMware ESX servers and provisioning virtual servers
:Experience with Citrix XenDesktop/Xenapp administration
