Keyholder / Lead Sales Associate

Location - Downtown Los Angeles

Position Summary: 
Key holders are responsible for supporting the store manager and assistant manager in achieving financial goals and motivating the sales team. Goals will be achieved through challenging employees, demonstrating exceptional sales, leading by example, promoting a positive work environment and managing the store operational processes to comply with company standards and policies. 

Core Responsibilities:

- Employee Development 
- Assist in Sales and Product training 
- Helps foster a professional and welcoming atmosphere with a positive attitude and professional appearance 
- Be committed as a team player, with great contribution and work ethic 
- Has a focus on the company core values and the individual core qualities and to be Committed, Energetic, Competitive, and Assertive
- Maintains a professional appearance, good hygiene and is driven by management, to have a good understanding of required dress code, and handbook

Store Presentation 
- Focus on store operations as driven and defined by the Manager's Action Plan (MAP) to ensure daily standards are met.
Implements the MAP each day, prioritizing tasks, and guiding the pet experts
- Participates in presentation of the store with regards to store tours, promotions, seasonally featured items, literature, and overall appearance
- Cleans and deep cleans the store and stocks as needed and directed

Operations 
- Meet all deadlines; follows up with team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. 
- Is responsible for opening and closing the store, including cash handling, store alarm, and store security
- Capable and responsible for receiving product orders, including weekly food deliveries

Sales 
- Sales is the number one priority at a level that goes above and beyond consistently, which has results placing them in the top two for store sales
- Educates clients on pet nutrition, behavior, and wellness lifestyle
- Ensure team demonstrates exceptional selling behaviors. Using our selling guide. 
- Ensure team is knowledgeable of financial goals and results 

Payroll 
- Reduce un-needed hours to protect controllable costs.
- Maintains estimated 20-30 hours per week
Inventory 
- Protect the business and maintain LP results at company standards.
- Responsible for Paw Bar operations, including cleanliness, stock, rotation, and ordering of supplies


The Ideal Candidate: 

- Has 2+ years of retail sales experience, familiarity with POS systems, and proficient computer skills; Merchandising skills a plus 
- Has outstanding customer service and communication skills and understands the value in developing strong relationships with customers 
- Has proven past results that show consistent positive sales 
- Is excited to be a multi-dimensional part of our team, contributing to everything from marketing efforts, to helping with special event planning. 
- Has a desire to develop a strong working knowledge of all product features and benefits including food/nutrition, heath/wellness, toys, treats and fashion 
- Has a flexible schedule and is able to work evenings/weekends
- Has a stylish and professional appearance and takes pride in presenting him/herself as a reflection of our boutique brand
