Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry:leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings : carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical:based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical:based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Job Title: Account Manager, MSO : West Region, Carrier Networks
Purpose of Position: Maximize the sale of Corning Optical Communications (COC) products within the West US Territory to grow the business and to align with the core business strategies of the company. Develop and execute a territory or account sales plan focused on delivering network solutions that leverage Corning's comprehensive capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
:Meet or exceed sales budgets for all telecommunications products assigned
:Develop Corning Optical Communication's product and solutions knowledge sufficient to support key customers and markets
:Develop and execute written territory and/or account plans
:Generate new business and maintain existing customer account base
:Cooperate closely with Major Accounts Managers to support properties/systems in territory
:Ensure a balanced mix of sales calls to end users, distributors, contractors, and consultants, as appropriate, and provide ongoing training with these customer segments
:Diligent in documenting activities and reporting results (Salesforce)
:Manage expense and promotional budgets
:Submit timely, accurate, and thorough reports to the Regional Sales Manager
:Report competitive and quality concerns through Weekly Report
:Work with internal Product Line Management to address specific customer product needs
:Maximize Corning Optical Communication's internal resources to meet customer needs
:Participate in regional and national trade shows
:Seeks career advancement or Long:Term Sales Career with Corning
:Continuous advanced product and professional skills training
:Product or industry specialist (as required)
:Participates in corporate assignments
:Assist Regional Sales Manager with corporate requested initiatives
:Travel to support regional customer needs
:Territory covered includes California and western region
