The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California is recruiting one full-time board certified/board eligible Radiation Oncologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will receive academic appointment at a level appropriate to training and experience from the Keck School of Medicine.
The Department is affiliated with the USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The program is an affiliate member of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, and also participates in trials sponsored by the South West Oncology Group and the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project Group, and Gynecology Oncology Group. The Department is looking to recruit a candidate highly interested in pursuing an academic career in radiation oncology with a focus on providing brachytherapy services for GYN, prostate, breast and sarcoma populations.
The Department of Radiation Oncology in the new LAC+USC Medical Center is equipped with 3 new Varian Linacs (21EX), Varian VariSource, Varian Acuity Simulator and GE CT Simulator, along with other high-end supportive technologies. The program evaluates approximately 1,000 new patients annually. There is an ACGME accredited residency training program. The Department at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center is equipped with a state-of the art Varian Truebeam STx, Trilogy, Gammaknife Perfexion, and Cyberknife, as well as programs in HDR and episcleral plaque brachytherapy.
