Job Opportunity Camino Nuevo Charter Academy Food Services Clerk (Part-Time) Camino Nuevo Charter Academy (CNCA) is a community of high-performing public schools that utilizes a comprehensive approach to prepare students from preschool through high school for success in college and in life. Founded in 2000, Camino Nuevo Charter Academy students represent the neighborhood of MacArthur Park west of downtown Los Angeles, a community that is one of the most under-resourced and densely populated neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Currently, CNCA has eight campuses that serve over 3,000 students from pre-K through 12th grade. CNCA is currently seeks candidates who are committed to serving in under-resourced communities. We are seeking teachers who embrace research-based, innovative curricular frameworks such as a balanced literacy approach and conceptual based math. JOB SUMMARY: Participates in, and is responsible for entering information into Powerschool pertaining to the school services program. Description of Essential Duties: + Performs general secretarial duties including: typing, filing, handling telephone calls, and making copies. + Process all free and reduced price meal applications. + Conduct verification of income on the required percentages of applications. + Process, print and mail notification letters to parents. + Maintain accurate meal applications for audit. + Process any deposits from student meal accounts. + Order school meals through meal vendor. + Monitor trends in consumption in order to reduce waste. + Process Point-of-Sale for all student meals, ensuring students have all necessary meal componenets. + Work with Records Clerk to maintain accurate student data regarding the school meal program. + Organize, file and maintain office records using established guidelines and procedures. + Maintain confidentiality regarding school records. + Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters. + Performs other duties as assigned. Job Specifications: + Ability to meet and deal with general public, staff members, parents, administrators, and other contact persons effectively and professionally using tact and good judgment. + Ability to follow attendance, punctuality and other standards of conduct of a good work ethic. + Ability to adhere to good safety standards.
