Our Private Client Services business was founded more than four decades ago as a family office for Capital Groups senior executives and their families. The PCS Relationship Specialist is a key member of the client relationship team, working with the Investment Counselor (IC) who markets, establishes and maintains relationships with and provides investment strategies for high net worth investors. The Relationship Specialist anticipates, facilitates and advances Investment Counselor prospecting and sales efforts through ownership and alignment of team workflows.
:Leads and oversees multiple aspects of the client relationship including cash management, distributions, contributions, asset allocation, investment actions, client/account maintenance, and client inquiries. Coordinates with internal and external teams as necessary.
With minimal supervision, manages regulatory requirements mandated for trust companies and registered investment advisors, including trust committee review.
Builds rapport with clients and intermediaries to maintain a positive working relationship in order to leverage IC team. Acts as the client advocate in order to retain, preserve, and deepen existing relationships.
Supports IC business plan and may identify opportunities for expanding relationships.
Strategizes with IC to establish a process/service model for addressing client needs.
Communicates with clients and advisors on various account and/or transactional processes and oversees client communication materials.
Coordinates with internal and external teams to on:board new account relationships (information collection, documentation and approval compilation, open and fund accounts).
May coordinate other fiduciary responsibilities related to trusts and IRAs (i.e. discretionary distributions, valuations).
Attends client/intermediary meetings as appropriate.
Responds to ad hoc portfolio, regulatory, market, and investment strategy specific queries both verbally and in writing.
Participates in projects related to the business and teams overall business priorities.
:Experience in the financial or investment management industry and proven client servicing abilities.
A good working knowledge and understanding of capital markets.
