Job DescriptionOur organization is seeking a CPR/AED &First Aid Licensed Trainer to facilitate a 5-6 hour certification class with a group of our employees 2-4 times per month.We will provide the manikins and other training materials. Responsibilities: -Instruct CPR/AED & First Aid classes according to American Red Cross standards-Prepare and dismantle classroom for each class-Maintain records, equipment and supplies according to established guidelines-Generate and submit trainee certificate of completion Qualifications: -High school graduation or equivalent-Current Red Cross Instructor certification-Current Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification (infant, child, adult)-Ability to teach effectively in an adult learning environment.-Basic computer/typing skills and demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office programs. -Ability to use online, web-based technology to submit payroll time-card, course related training documents and for regular communication-Access to phone, internet and email.-Flexible schedule available - opportunities available during the day, evening or weekendsPreferred: -Organizational skills-Physical ability to perform all skills included in the class instruction-Effective written and verbal communication skills-Effective interpersonal skillsCompany DescriptionWoodcraft Rangers is a non-profit youth organization serving the Los Angeles area for the past +90 years. Woodcraft Rangers innovative expanded learning programs have been proven effective in improving academic performance and attitudes toward school, while decreasing risk factors. Our programs strengthen children's bonds with their natural support systems (family, peers, school, and community), thereby reducing their risks for academic failure, crime/gang involvement, substance abuse and teenage pregnancy.
