Global Client Services (GCS) is a department that is within Capital Groups Investment Operations organization. GCS services Capitals institutional clients, prospects and intermediaries globally and supports global institutional marketing, sales and distribution teams. The mission of GCS is to deliver a superior client experience and enable the distribution of Capital Groups (CG) investment services globally.
As a Fee Consulting Analyst, based in Los Angeles, you will work independently on standardized and recurring assignments under the direct supervision of more senior staff and leadership on complex projects, analyses and tasks.
As a member of the Global Fee Consulting team, you will be a part of the group that is responsible for all aspects of investment management fees and pricing and provide fee consulting expertise globally to all areas of the business.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for fee related information in marketing materials, new business books, contracts, and investment management agreements, and serve as an internal and external client contact for fees, billing, and pricing.
Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
? Develops hypothetical fee calculations, proformas and comprehensive marketing materials related to fees.
o Creates, utilizes and reviews complex spreadsheets to illustrate investment management fee structures and options to prospective and existing clients.
o Considers all CGC mandates, investment vehicles and investment management fees across the Institutional, Mutual Funds, Sub:advisory and Private Client Services groups in order to outline potential options to sales staff and provide superior service to clients while ensuring positive economical impact to CGC.
? Provides guidance and recommendations as it relates to management fees.
o Advises Global Institutional Operations Fee Services on complex fee structures relating to account set:ups, amendments or terminations to ensure accurate application of CGC fee policies.
o Reviews and recommends changes to fee related language such as fee schedules, compensation language and most favored nations language contained within contractual documentation.
o Provides cross:regional (Americas, Europe, Asia) guidance and recommendations to internal (Marketing, Legal, Investment Group) and external clients. Considers regional and product differences when making recommendations.
o Educates prospective and existing clients with regard to fee arrangements.
? Participates in projects and initiatives.
o Creates financial models to assess and communicate impact of proposed changes to all appropriate parties primarily for revenue and fee related projects.
o Identifies issues and new opportunities, develops and prepares detailed analyses, presents findings and recommends course of action to senior business leaders and various management committees.
