Capital Group seeks bright, highly motivated and self:directed individuals for FixedIncome Investment Analyst internship opportunities in Los Angeles and London. As a summer intern, you will conduct fundamental research on issuers in a segment of the bond market and analyze related fixed:income securities, with the objective presenting an investment thesis and recommendation to an audience of portfolio managers and analysts.
FixedIncome Intern Opportunities:
Structured Investments (RMBS, CMBS, ABS)
Your analysis will incorporate a blend of macro (political, economic, sector/industry) and micro (issuer:specific financial, legal/structural, security:specific) considerations, which you will synthesize with bond valuations. You will be guided in your work by an investment analyst, although you will be largely self:directed in your approach and conclusions. Throughout the summer, you will learn more about investment management, and have access to the industry's most respected investment professionals. Your internship with Capital will provide you with hands:on experience similar to that of a full:time analyst.
MBA degree candidate with a graduation date of December 2018 or May/June 2019 from an accredited university, or business school
Demonstrated academic achievement
Ability to direct independent work effort in a cooperative environment
Grasp of macro and micro economics and a curiosity about the bond market
Healthy appetite for research, writing and business travel
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
