Trevor Hall in Concert @ Troubadour - 9081 Santa Monica Blvd Los Angeles, CA, 90069

Posted: Monday, July 2, 2012 1:15 AM

Trevor Hall in Concert @ Troubadour Also Appearing: Anuhea, Justin Fri, July 20, 2012 Doors Open at 8:00 pm Ticket Cost: $15.00 To quote the L.A. Weekly, "any show by the reunited Zeros is a big deal..." and packed clubs across the U-S, Europe, SXSW and NXNE seem to uphold that statement. The Zeros are playing to a new generation of and old and its clear there’s still something magical about this band, as the iconic American punks return for select dates across The U.S. and Canada. The Muffs' leader is singer-songwriter Kim Shattuck. The original lineup also included guitarist Melanie Vammen (like Shattuck, a former member of 1980s all-female garage rock outfit The Pandoras), bassist Ronnie Barnett and drummer Criss Crass. The Flytraps are an all-girl trashy surf-garage band who love hot tubs, the Mummies and Anton LaVey. The interview took place in Laura’s backyard which featured a large collection of disturbing statuary, including some cannibalistic french fries. More on that below. Other subjects include the perils of surfing, girl band geeks and Eurotrash pop. This interview by Janet Housden.
