Social anxiety can really get in the way of living one’s life the way one would choose to live it. Fear of rejection, feelings of inadequacy, fear of not fitting in, of being judged by others, etc. are some of the fears that block many from partaking in life’s enjoyments and opportunities.

RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL whose cognitive behavioral approach has proven to help so many take control of their lives and overcome a large variety of distressing emotional difficulties, also offers a systematic approach on how to work through social anxiety.

This systematic approach has proven to be extremely useful in helping people work through their fears, encouraging them to take the steps that they need to take in order to build their self-confidence and to reduce their emotional distress in social situations. Using the RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL tools and with practice of the method, people do emerge from their shells and find themselves doing things they never thought they could do. One hears testimonies such as “Before Recovery, I would never have the courage to speak in public,” “to lead a meeting,” “to return that product to the store,” “to apply for that job,” “ to attend that party.”

A RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL meeting is a comfortable place to begin. It is a place where you will hear people share similar feelings and also hear success stories that will inspire you.

RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL , a world-wide, non-profit organization, now 77 years old, has helped tens of thousands gain control over their anxieties, depression, stress, anger problems, impulsivity, etc., and improve their general well-being

When you visit a RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL meeting, you will hear testimony upon testimony that the RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL method works.

People are welcome to drop in at any selected RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL meeting and just observe. It is not an ongoing class but a practice session—learning and practicing the RI Method. People are invited to attend at their own convenience. When individuals feel the need to get the self-help guidance, support and structure of an RI meeting, it is out there for them with no further obligation.

Ann Landers speaking of Recovery, Inc. (now RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL) “Their record of success is phenomenal.”
