Difficult people are a part of life. We can’t change that. But they can become less difficult— even though they remain pretty much the same people—when we are in a better place emotionally.

Using the RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL Method, we learn that we have many options on how to respond to an unpleasant situation or an upsetting person. RI training provides us with a variety of skills that can help us stay calm and in emotional control, keep conflict to a minimum, encourage cooperation and to act in a way that brings out the best in another person rather than the worse.

As we train ourselves to break out of the mold of our old thought and reaction patterns, we are less likely to react impulsively.

We are more apt to give thoughtful consideration to our alternatives when facing a challenging encounter where issues need to be resolved or where we might be adding fuel to a tense situation or might instead be defusing a tense situation.

People who practice the RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL Method, consistently report that they have far fewer conflicts in their lives. Many claim that learning and practicing alternative responses have actually saved their marriages. Others report improved relationships with their children, siblings, in-laws, co-workers, and others.

RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL, founded in 1937, is a non-profit organization with approximately 500 meetings world-wide. A $5.00 or more donation is suggested but not required.

When you visit a RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL meeting, you will hear people share their own personal experiences, attesting to how practicing the RI method has dramatically improved their lives. People who have long suffered from ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, STRESS, ANGER CONTROL PROBLEMS, LOW SELF-ESTEEM, IMPULSE CONTROL PROBLEMS, PANIC ATTACKS report that they are now able to prevent or substantially reduce these distressing emotional states. As a result, they find that they are able to handle their life’s situations more effectively.

Ann Landers speaking of Recovery, Inc. (now RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL) “Their record of success is phenomenal.”

If you are unfamiliar with our organization and are hesitant to contact us—we invite you to learn more about us so you can be assured that you are connecting with a very reputable non-profit organization--highly regarded within the mental health community. We encourage you to look us up on the web using our name “Recovery International” or our founder’s name, “Dr. Abraham Low.” You will find us on web sites such as Wikipedia.org., for instance.

WE REQUEST A $4.00 OR MORE DONATION FROM MEETING ATTENDEES, BUT THE DONATION IS NOT REQUIRED. WHATEVER YOU CAN DONATE IS APPRECIATED.

People are welcome to drop in at any selected RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL meeting and just observe. It is not an ongoing class but a practice session—learning and practicing the RI Method. People are invited to attend at their own convenience. When individuals feel the need to get the self-help guidance, support and structure of an RI meeting, it is out there for them with no further obligation.
