Sod & Sprinkler Installation
Kill off old lawn or existing weeds in area where sod is to be installed. We use Roundup lawn and weed killer carefully following the directions on the package. Roundup is a highly effective systemic herbicide that enters the plant through its foliage and kills all the way down to its root system. One thorough treatment will usually completely kill off your old lawn and weeds.

Remove dead lawn:

Rake and fine grade:

The sod is uniformly machine-cut and will conform to any irregularities left in the grade.

After all sod is installed, we turn on the sprinklers and let them run until the sod is good and . To keep it that way for the first week we water 2-3 times per day according to the weather. Eventually we taper back watering new sod after one week to 1-2 times per day, then once per day after the 14th day. Watering time for sod then can be adjusted according to the weather for the season.

Kill off old lawn or existing weeds in area where sod is to be installed. We use Roundup lawn and weed killer carefully following the directions on the package. Roundup is a highly effective systemic herbicide that enters the plant through its foliage and kills all the way down to its root system. One thorough treatment will usually completely kill off your old lawn and weeds.

The sod is uniformly machine-cut and will conform to any irregularities left in the grade.

We begin laying sod as soon as possibly upon delivery, staggering each new row of sod so that seams are offset, as in a block wall. Sod & Sprinkler Installation
Kill off old lawn or existing weeds in area where sod is to be installed. We use Roundup lawn and weed killer carefully following the directions on the package. Roundup is a highly effective systemic herbicide that enters the plant through its foliage and kills all the way down to its root system. One thorough treatment will usually completely kill off your old lawn and weeds.

Rake and fine grade:
We fine rake the sod area removing large clods, rocks and roots. We then take a water roller and compact the sod area by rolling over it. The sod is uniformly machine-cut and will conform to any irregularities left in the grade.

We begin laying sod as soon as possibly upon delivery, staggering each new row of sod so that seams are offset, as in a block wall. Watering new Marathon Sod:
To avoid having dry patches in your new sod and to promote even growth, the installed sprinkler system pattern should provide head-to-head coverage. After all sod is installed, we turn on the sprinklers and let them run until the sod is good and . To keep it that way for the first week we water 2-3 times per day according to the weather. Eventually we taper back watering new sod after one week to 1-2 times per day, then once per day after the 14th day. Watering time for sod then can be adjusted according to the weather for the season.
