The Role Objective:
The Assistant Media Planner will work within a media planning team and assist Media Planners and Supervisors in all aspects of the media planning process, including but not limited to: the preparation of budgets, competitive and target analysis reports, media POVs, and implementing campaigns. This individual will also resolve billing discrepancies.
Primary (day:to:day) Responsibilities:
Utilize and understand proprietary and syndicated research tools used for planning and reporting purposes
Study demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for specific media vehicles, including lifestyles and psychographics
Utilize syndicated research to help analyze the competitive category landscape/responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual competitive analysis
Assist in development of media plans that specify which forms of media will be used to effectively reach the target audience
Assist in maintaining flowcharts/plans and developing media plan delivery analysis
Compile media purchase authorizations and ensure they are filed once signed by client
Assist in monthly budget updates for client finance team
Develop agency point of views on media opportunities for submission to the client
Input data into Donovan and Ad Serving platforms
Assist in campaign set:up, trafficking, tracking and reporting of online campaigns
Work with Ad Operations and creative teams to fix technical problems with ad serving
Assist in Monthly billing process and work to resolve variances within the billing process
Secondary Responsibilities:
Attend client specific and departmental meetings
Assist team in all aspects of scheduling meetings; coordinating between attendees, Outlook invites, booking conference rooms, coordinating breakfast/lunch, etc.
