Urth Caffe, a fast paced, Organic Coffe and health conscious cuisine Restaurant is looking for a dependable CATERING MANAGER to join our Guest Services Department. This position will be based in downtown LA. (Moving to Hawthorne next year April 2018)

Position Overview

The Catering Manager will report directly to the Guest Services Manager and will be responsible for sales building and catering. The Catering Manager will ensure that all catering sales goals and objectives are met by managing the department reactive and proactive catering sales efforts. The Catering Manager will be responsible for all catering events and will plan catering events of varying sizes and levels and she/he will focus on the strategies and tactics for improving sales growth thus creating profitability, and return on investment to shareholders. Catering Manager is the URTH Brand Ambassador and must embody URTH friendliness values.

Sales Development:
:
Aggressively find and pursue catering sales
:
Must be comfortable cold calling, networking, and using social media marketing on an ongoing basis to create new catering business
:
Relationship building geared towards increasing sales
:
Point of contact for ALL catering inquires/clients

Some Key Metrics to be used to measure performance include but are not limited to:
:
Monthly increase of catering sales over prior year no less than 25
:
Effective communication between all parties involved with catering event to ensure 100 customer satisfaction i.e. Director Operations, Store Manager, Customer Service Representative Etc

Often work long hours, and may frequently work holidays, nights and weekends

100 Accountable for successful outcome of all catering events from negotiation to event day

Staffing and Building Team: Ability to attract, select, develop, and promote the best people available internally and externally. Effectively use leadership skills to garner the best from all members of the team. Motivates team to ensure all goals are meet.
Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate the ability to bring out the best in others. Practice active listening, and use empathy when dealing with employee relations situations. Ability to establish self as neutral party in conflict situations. Employee view you as go to person to get thing resolved.
Communication: Express ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrates effective listening skills by summarizing and recommending solutions to problems. Practices open door policy.
