Established in 1994, The Dream Center is a 501(c)(3) faith-based organization in Los Angeles, California. Though our heritage is Christian, we serve all those who seek our assistance, regardless of their religious beliefs or spiritual affiliation. The Dream Center serves as a resource center focused on finding solutions to homelessness, hunger, and education through community outreach programs. Our current programs include: recovery/discipleship, human trafficking rescue, transitional housing for homeless population, transition age youth home, veterans transitional housing, mobile and on-site food distribution, foster care intervention, adopt-a-block, and adult education. We are seeking a successful candidate who has experience managing grants, writing grants, producing summary reports and working with multiple program directors in a variety of capacities. The grant coordinator will identify and cultivate new funding opportunities on a local, state, and federal level.

Essential Responsibilities:
Write and submit grant applications, proposals, letters of inquiry, and request for information letters
Communicate with prospective and current grant funding entities
Produce and maintain database of grant activity, tracking progress towards outcomes and goals
Manage the donor database; produce and analyze reports to assist in developing strategic approaches to grants cultivation as well as execute thank you letters and additional correspondence in a timely manner
Assist the Executive Director of Development with implementing a program of stewardship for foundation and corporate donors

Required Skills and Knowledge:
Successful track record of securing grants and revenue
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience working with nonprofit administration, grant writing, or fundraising
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and/or Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credentials preferred
Fundraising database experience
Higher level user of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe software programs
