Please continueAHF is currently seeking Interns for the 2017 Summer Program. The program will provide insight for students who have interest in the field of Human Resources. This is a paid part:time position. DescriptionHuman Resources department provides support to the business lines to ensure smooth daily transactions while providing employees an enjoyable workplace. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIncludes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Answers telephone in a prompt and courteous manner and directs calls to appropriate personnel. Greets applicants, hands out employment applications, and distributes completed applications to the appropriate HR Business Lines. Create and maintains an filing system for personnel, health, and benefit files so that files are readily available when needed. Updates and creates new files as necessary. Transfers inactive files to inactive storage according to file maintenance guidelines and/or legal requirements. Retrieves inactive files from storage as needed. Recruit for various positions organizational wide. Maintains stock of all HR documents, to include applications for employment, new hire paperwork, termination documents, employee handbooks, birthday and holiday cards, etc. Prepares new hire paperwork packets as needed. Ensures that all required paperwork is included in the packets. Verifies new hire paperwork for accuracy and signs off new hire paperwork as required. Makes copies of all documents such as licenses, certificates, diplomas, physicals, TB screenings, and other documents, as required to be included in the appropriate file. Processes name badges, assigns badge numbers and maintains logs in collaboration with the Payroll Department on an as needed basis. Assists HR department with New Hire Orientation; Prepares packets for distribution at orientation, reserves conference room and ensures that the room is properly equipped with all necessary materials. Maintains I:9 Logs, current and terminated in separate binders, in an accurate and efficient manner. Oversees required trainings, such as; HIPAA and/or Workplace Answers for new and existing employees. Maintains confidentiality and discretion while protecting the assets and information of the company within the scope of duties. : Ideal candidates have an interest in the Field of HR: Post Graduate or Undergraduate in 3rd or 4th year. 3.0 GPA or higher highly preferred.: Strong Microsoft Office experience strongly desired: Ability to multi:task: Attentative to details and follows instructions carefully: Intern must have great communication skills: Intern must have great presentation skills: Intern must commit fully to the duration of the program
