The Franco Law Group (FLG), A Professional Law Corporation (APLC), a firm specializing in Immigration and Nationality Law, seeks a skilled and passionate attorney to join its strong legal team. Licensed attorneys in California and law school graduates pending bar results are welcome to apply. Previous experiences is not required.



FLG is seeking a highly motivated, qualified and passionate candidate with a strong interest or background in immigration law. Candidates who have taken an immigration law class or have practiced immigration law are preferred, but prior experience is not required.

Fast pace Immigration Law Firm located in downtown Los Angeles county has an immediate opportunity for an immigration attorney with 1+ years of immigration experience to work on a wide range of cases in a diverse, full-service immigration law practice. Attorney must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Must have experience in handling EOIR, consular practice, family-based IV, VAWA claims and Naturalization.

Attorney will represent clients in Removal Proceedings, as well as BIA and Circuit Court Appeals. Excellent research/writing and outstanding communication skills needed. Attorney will be substantially self-sufficient in preparing day-to-day correspondence. Candidate must be able to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, where deadlines are critical. Applicant must have a willingness to work as part of a strong and compassionate team and to serve the immigrant community.

The candidate will be expected to:

Represent immigrant clients (detained and non-detained) in court, including clients before DHS, EOIR and DOS in family immigration, naturalization, U visa, asylum, I-751 waivers, VAWA matters, consular processing, 212(h), 212(i), I-212, unlawful presence and provisional waivers.
Represent clients before the Immigration Courts and BIA in removal defense, all applications for immigration relief, criminal removal matters, custody and bond hearings, and contested removal cases.
The candidate must be willing to travel to detention centers anywhere in the country.
The candidate must have a strong interest in developing his or her litigation skills; have strong case management ability, legal research and legal writing skills.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability and willingness to zealously pursue new and untested legal theories;
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to take initiative and work under pressure;
Conduct client intake and consultations.
Other tasks as needed and as assigned by the firm’s management.
The ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is required.
