Employee health and wellness at Northrop Grumman is viewed from an integrated approach that includes the psychological, physical, and social health of employees and their family members. The Global Manager, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Work/Life Solutions provides strategic leadership for the integration of psychological and physical health and wellness services within Northrop Grumman’s wider occupational health efforts. This position serves as Northrop Grumman’s chief psychological subject matter expert providing resources and guidance to senior leaders. This role can be located in either El Segundo, CA or Falls Church, VA and will manage the enterprise-wide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) strategies and programs, including functional, technical and regulatory/compliance efforts. It is accountable for strategy development, planning, delivery strategy, vendor selection, resource balancing and budget management for a worldwide program operating in over 30 countries. The Global Manager is also responsible for managing all Employee Assistance Program vendors. Key tasks include: • Plan, develop, implement and coordinate organizational EAP initiatives in support of strategic business goals; • Articulate organization’s EAP initiatives relative to the company’s strategic business goals; • Provides expert Threat Assessment/Management consultation to EAP consulting staff, Northrop Grumman managers and other corporate partners in managing risks of violence to the workplace or individual team members; • Provides critical incident stress management (CISM) services in the event of natural disasters, deaths in the workplace, terrorist activities and/or other emergency situations. • Network with appropriate government and professional organizations to implement EAP initiatives; • Manage and control departmental expenditures within budget; • Design and implement targeted programs to address stress, resilience, change management and other behavioral health concerns relative to employee health and wellness; • Develop an understanding and sensitivity to the many countries and cultures in which EAP services are operating to create and implement the cultural adaptations required for optimal program effectiveness; • Provide coaching and counseling to senior leadership; • Collaborate with medical leaders, Human Resources leaders and other stakeholders to strategically integrate and promote EAP initiatives worldwide; • Provide guidance on fitness for duty to medical staff, senior management, legal, and other stakeholders on complicated cases where employee behaviors raise alarm about ability to return to work after disability or perform safely because of cognitive or mood disorders; • Consult on situations involving threats of workplace violence • Respond to, and supervising others in managing workplace trauma and death. Part time teleworking could be available for the selected candidate.
