We are seeking Business Consultants to join our Patient Reported Outcomes area in one of our Thousand Oaks, CA office. The person in this role will be responsible for delivery of work within the patient reported outcomes strategy practice. They will be responsible for day to day client management and oversight and direction of other project team members. They will also be responsible for supporting new business development opportunities (proposal writing) and supporting internal initiatives to develop new solutions within the practice.
:Work with project leadership to define project scope and develop approach;
:Work closely with clients on specific projects;
:Build collaborative relationships within client organizations across patient reported outcomes and health economics and outcomes research;
:Support new business development opportunities (proposal writing);
:Play a role in development of capabilities and offerings in the practice;
:Coach and mentor junior team members;
:Contribute to internal firm activities.
:Doctorate or Masters degree in any discipline, with a concentration in patient reported outcomes (PROs) or health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) preferred, and a strong academic record of analytic work. Alternately, candidates may possess an MBA, other Master's degree, or PhD in healthcare, patient measurement, or related discipline with a business application. In lieu of an MBA/PhD, 5:10 years of relevant work experience may substitute;
:5+ years of prior relevant work experience, preferably in patient reported outcomes (or another aspect of HEOR) or a consultative role; healthcare/pharmaceutical industry experience desirable.
:This includes specific experience in any of the following PRO content areas:
:Quantitative PRO Research
:Competent analyst of PRO data, especially for psychometrics. Includes developing SAPs/PAPs, basic data management, ability to code and execute analyses in SAS, SPSS, or STATA;
:Competent at reviewing analysis output and interpreting results, including understanding of assumptions for common psychometrics, knowing the impact of sample size on psychometrics, and being able to summarize the meaning and quality of the results to clients;
:Understandthe psychometric analyses required for FDA/EMA label claim submissions vs. psychometric consultations for other needs (e.g., publication);
:Basic understanding of latent variable modeling (e.g., CFA) and item response theory (e.g., Rasch, 2PL IRT) so that you can work with a more senior psychometrician on these analyses.
