Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company is seeking a Supply Chain Demand Manager, located in Los Angeles, CA.

The Supply Chain Senior Manager is a franchise-aligned position in the Supply Chain Management organization that plays a critical role in the delivery of key metrics - Customer Service (Unit Fill Rate), Inventory (Absolute $ and DOS), Forecast Accuracy, & SLOB. The position reports to the Franchise Supply Chain Demand Director and is involved in setting the direction for the planning team.


The Supply Chain Senior Manager will:

  • Lead a wide range of functions including forecasting, inventory management, sales and operations planning or integrated business planning, long term capacity planning and identify and implement process improvement
  • Work with Supply Chain planners to accurately forecast demand and ensure supply planning
  • Champion the Integrated Business Planning (or Sales and Operations Planning) process at the Management Business Reviews
  • Balance inventory and supply planning with service, by achieving superior MAPE result
  • Lead special projects related to product launches, line extensions, various supply chain initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of SAP- and Panorama-based planning processes, and will be accountable for demonstrated use of SAP in forecasting and production planning to improve department efficiency
  • Represent Supply Chain on several new product launch teams
  • Maintain employee development plans, performance reviews and succession plans for a staff of up to 5 people and will also work with other managers to continually develop organization design improvements for the department


Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, an Advanced Degree is preferred
  • A degree focused in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in operations or related field (Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, Project Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Customer Support, Contract Management, Materials Management)
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in Supply Chain Planning is preferred
  • Prior people management/supervisory experience is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications is required
  • Previous SAP knowledge is preferred
  • Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training, and/or certification is preferred
  • APICS Certification is preferred
  • Experience working with Marketing and Sales partners is preferred
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated strength in interdependent partnering and team management
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a matrix environment besides possessing the ability to manage difficult issues and implement positive change is required
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to influence without authority are required
  • This position will be based in Los Angeles, CA and requires up to 15% travel
