JOB SUMMARY
An Assessment Psychologist at MCYF is responsible for providing in-depth assessments of children and adolescents in accordance with the quality standards and clinical guidelines established by MCYF. Providers will be expected to participate in treatment conferences and case consultations and work collaboratively with those on the treatment team. A deep appreciation for the collaborative and integrated approach to treatment is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Meets with Assessment Director to discuss intake information and plan individualized assessment battery
Meets with child/adolescent and parents to describe the purpose and process of the comprehensive assessment approach that includes, cognitive and/or neuropsychological assessment
Conducts comprehensive range of tests with child/adolescent
Reviews collateral information and talks with parents, teachers, others as appropriate
Meets with Assessment Director to review findings
Writes summary report and reviews with Assessment Director
Consults with clinical staff about most appropriate feedback of assessment results to child/adolescent and parents
Remains available for consultation with treating clinician as needed
Provides follow-up assessment as indicated
Participates in weekly case consultation meeting
Adheres to quality standards and risk management procedures of MCYF
Documents according to the protocols established by the Clinical and Assessment Directors
Participates in mandated trainings and meetings
Acts as a liaison with community, clinical and school audiences to help publicize the work of MCYF
Other duties necessary to promote clinical excellence, continuity of care and the success of MCYF

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology with 3 years of experience in clinical practice. A valid license in the state of California
Training in cognitive, personality and neuro-psychological assessment
Training in child and adolescent services
History of a collaborative and integrated approach to care
Appreciation for and experience with integrating assessment findings into treatment planning
Commitment to outcome studies that inform care
