Director of Business Developments primary areas of responsibility include strategic planning, networking, developing and maintaining physician relations. Functions performed must support the core values and mission of Prime MSO. Moreover, the Director initiates and participates in operational implementations and improvements through strong communication and written policy and procedures. Areas of authority and accountability include strategy and issue management, outreach and referral development support, marketing, communications, media relations, and community relations. This position reports directly to the surgery centers CEO.
:Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracks development and implements measurements for data analytics.
:Locates or proposes business opportunities to potential stakeholders; continues health and strong relations with current stakeholders.
:Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
:Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials;
:Manages department through policy and procedures; develop systematic approach of department incentives and periodic targets.
:Completes duties assigned by executives.
:Travels off site for business opportunities; travels to center locations on need be basis.
:Assures an effective and efficient workflow for the department while off site.
:Solid strategic, conceptual, and analytical thinking and planning skills.
:Superb communication skills with outstanding writing, speaking and listening abilities.
:Understanding of the healthcare system and ability to identify and capitalize on possible future directions.
:Demonstrated executive leadership skills and respected authority to maximize relationships with physicians, payors, external leaders, as well as clinical and administrative decision makers.
:Comfortable and credible working with executives and leaders (e.g., officers, Board, medical exec, community VIPs, elected officials).
:Operating and finance savvy with a solid understanding of marketing, research, business, and communications and community relations activities.
:Experienced in assessing and developing market opportunities with a track record of success (e.g., market growth, increased revenue, competition mitigation, new program development,
perception/preference changes, relationship building).
:Ability to conduct and facilitate strategic meetings is essential.
:A track record of setting priorities and achieving solid business results while working with a range of stakeholders.
:Comfortable with change, uncertainty, and crisis.
:Able to create and seize opportunities.
:Highest level of honesty and integrity.
:Must possess the interpersonal sensitivities to be a highly respected and valued team player.
:Ability to provide continuum stability and growth in network and industry relations.

:Valid CA Class C Drivers License
:5+ years marketing and strategic planning
:5+ years of strategic planning, business planning, physician group management and health care administration (Preferred)
:Ability to work full time
:Availability to work late hours on a need be basis
networking/positive standing with industry related professionals is required
:Healthcare marketing experience within reasonable proximity of assigned territory, hospital and ASC is preferred.
Education Requirements:
:Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing required, Masters Degree is preferred.
