Northrop Grumman's Global Collaboration Services team is searching for a Messaging Engineer. Join a team of Engineers in El Segundo, California supporting the MS Exchange and Lync 2013 Enterprise infrastructure. The position could also reside in the classified datacenter in Melbourne, FL, supporting the west coast customer remotely. The incumbent will provide engineering in support of messaging enterprise level projects and internal company infrastructure. This includes engineering, design and oversight for the Exchange 2013 and Lync 2013 Enterprise Infrastructure. He/she will work closely with the GCS Operations team on the configuration and monitoring, product deliveries, patch updates, performing evaluations of new software product upgrades and/or enterprise software tools, and troubleshooting problems related to messaging application deliveries. Perform periodic review of messaging engineering architectures, health check, waivers and other server or network design documents as required. Prepare new messaging standards documentation and ensure the documentation is approved through all the approval cycles. Additional duties include: • Provide recommendations toward designing messaging infrastructure solutions to project-based requirements, including providing cost of hardware, software and labor in support of the installation and customization of the solution, implementing the projects' “first build” environments. • As needed provide support and engineering expertise to NG Partners. • Responsible for completing server or network design review, CN documentation and presenting to various approval and change control boards as required.
