Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. is currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Planner in Los Angeles, California.
This role is primarily responsible for the planning & scheduling of Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in support of the manufacturing activities within the Los Angeles Plant (LAP). As a member of the Maintenance staff, the Maintenance Planner fulfills a key role in assuring that the site maintains its manufacturing processes in proper working order and documented consistent with FDA/cGMP compliance guidelines.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following major duties satisfactorily while working under direct supervision. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
â¢ Work within applicable policies, procedures, quality, safety, environmental, regulatory and industry standards
â¢ Maintain current equipment records and asset data base within the CMMS
â¢ Manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order (WO) process for manufacturing related processes & equipment
â¢ Review, optimize, update and enroll new Preventive Maintenance tasks
â¢ Provide liaison between the Planning, Production & Maintenance functions in the scheduling of preventive maintenance tasks
â¢ Review completed PM & WO tasks to ensure completion, accuracy and Good Documentation Practices are followed
â¢ Manage the change control process for changes to be made to preventive maintenance tasks
â¢ Work with Technicians to identify parts required to complete maintenance tasks
â¢ Work within a cross functional/matrix organization
â¢ Provide updates and report data to management regarding PM completion and effectiveness
â¢ May be required to procure and/or supervise contract trade personnel/services in support of maintenance activities
â¢ May be required to submit and/or manage small capital projects in support of maintenance activities
â¢ Supports Maintenance goals for continuous improvement as a part of the Maintenance Equipment Excellence (ME2) program
â¢ Provides data analysis, prepares charts, metric slides to communicate results
â¢ Follow finance & procurement procedures for cost tracking, adherence to budgets, soliciting of bids, purchasing, and contracts
â¢ Provide functional team support and manufacturing troubleshooting support as required
Provide training on new equipment and/or input for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPâs)
â¢ Collect data/information, cultivate resources, conduct assessments as required
â¢ Limited travel for project specific needs, generally <5%
Bachelorâs or equivalent (4-yr) Degree required. BS Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial or any equivalent engineering degree preferred.
Skills & Experiences:
â¢ Minimum 3 yearsâ prior work experience in the Maintenance Field required
â¢ Maintenance Planning experience required
â¢ Proficiency with MS Office - Excel, Word, Power Point required
â¢ Prior experience working with CMMS required
â¢ Prior experience working with Maximo preferred
â¢ Prior experience in mechanical equipment service and/or repair preferred
â¢ Experience within a FDA/cGMP (OTC/Rx, Food) regulated environment preferred
Work Environment & Physical Demands of Job:
The work is performed in an office and factory environment, noise levels in the work environments varies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and to move within and between the buildings on campus, climb ladders/stairs to access platforms, equipment or the roof. A computer terminal is used to access, input, and retrieve data. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
