Job Description
Maintenance Purchasing Clerk
Purchasing Clerk is responsible for purchasing raw materials, products and supplies for the maintenance and operation department. Also, responsible of organizing, keeping track of the purchasing and perform inventory control to order the spare parts before they run out.
Will also be in charged or organizing and maintaining the inventory cabinets and room clean and organized professionally. Assisting maintenance staff with part orders.
Skills, knowledge and abilities:
Must know SI and US unit of mass, length and volume.
Must know NPT and TPI
Able to use caliper
Understand electrical wire sizing, breaker and overload components
Understand isometric drawings for machining parts
knowledge of pipe and bolt threads
Understand tolerances and clearances
Purchasing : able to negotiate best rates.
Check for inventory,spare parts and order as needed.
Research for list of the parts when no information about part is provided for ordering.
Create the list of current inventory weekly.
Update CMMS.
Organize the inventory room as needed
