The Microelectronics Technology Department at The Aerospace Corporation conducts basic and applied research in microelectronic and optoelectronic devices for space applications, and provides technical support to national security space programs in these areas. MTD is looking for a member of the technical staff to support investigations of microelectronics reliability, radiation effects, advanced microelectronics technology nodes, capability development, novel devices, and physics of failure in advanced CMOS, SiGe, SOI, III:V, II:VI, and other advanced processes for space applications.
:Conduct innovative basic and applied research in the area of advanced microelectronic device technologies and applications to space systems, including reliability and physics of failure
:Design and build electronic characterization test capabilities to investigate reliability and physics of failure in advanced microelectronic and optoelectronic components
:Provide technical assessments of reliability in microelectronic and optoelectronic devices
:Present results internally and at scientific meetings and publish research in refereed journals
:Provide technical support to national security space programs in these areas 13;
:Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field with two or more years of engineering or scientific experience
:Strong record of publication in peer:reviewed journals and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative research projects
:Experience giving technical presentations and writing technical reports
:Coursework or experience in microelectronic or optoelectronic device physics
:Experience in testing microelectronic or optoelectronic devices
:Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
:Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field
:Experience in optical or opto:electronic characterization of microelectronic devices
:Experience in electronic or opto:electronic device design
