Production/Packaging   Associate  Department 

Job Status: Full Time 

FLSA Status: 

Reports To: Department Supervisor

Varied 24/7 



Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the department and production schedule. Maintain communication with the department supervisors to determine progress of work and help correct discrepancies when/if they occur following safe GMP practices. 


Essential Functions Statement(s) 

  • Combined predetermined ingredients      based on production recipe. 
  • Examine documents, materials, or products      and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and      conformance to standards and specifications. 
  • Confer with department supervisors or      other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes. 
  • Monitor the production line, watching      for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or product that is not flowing      properly as planned. 
  • Observe machine operations to ensure      quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. 
  • Stop and reset machines when      malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a      supervisor. 
  • Record production data, including      volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or quality control      measures. 
  • Maintain inventories of materials or      supplies necessary to meet production demands. 
  • Ensure GMPs are followed as required,      report discrepancies to supervisor. 
  • Stock machines as necessary to ensure      optimum use of the unit and proper flow of the product. 
  • Log necessary changes or      discrepancies as necessary. 
  • The area is to be cleaned after use      ensuring the next shift is ready to work. 
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.



Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equilvalent

Experience: No prior experience necessary 

Computer Skills 

MS Word and Excel preferred. 

Certificates & Licenses 

Increase HACCP knowledge.
