We are seeking a Business Manager to become a member of the Office of the Chief Velocity Officer (OCVO) Business Team. The successful candidates will manage administrative and operational functions for organizations(s) within OCVO; including financial controls, contract compliance, facility requirements, procurement of equipment and services, property management, administrative services and support, and communications activities, security and safety.
:Integral member of the organizations management team; significant contributor to decision making regarding business:related processes and activities, and often leads implementation.
:Manages administrative and financial operations to optimize compliance with contracts and corporate policies and practices, and attainment of organization strategic goals.
:Develops financial plans and forecasts for direct: and indirect:funded activities; manages and performs analyses for various budgets; prepares reports in required formats for customers and/or internal management.
:Manages facility requirements including space planning, facilities/equipment maintenance and repair, physical moves, telecommunications and computer network requirements.
:Identifies and facilitates procurement of equipment and services necessary to accomplish programmatic objectives.
:Establishes, coordinates, and facilitates communications designed to enhance exchange of information throughout the organization. Serves as primary liaison with service organizations.
:Ensures adherence to security and safety practices throughout the organization; develops, maintains, and tests continuity of operations plan.
:Serves on corporate or cross:organizational committees, task forces and study groups; provides guidance for, reviews and ensures consistency of, administrative and operating practices among sub:organizations and facilities; may present organization viewpoint on administrative and operational issues to both internal and external contacts.
:Responsible for hiring, supervising, providing training, scheduling overtime, approving time off, determining objectives, initiating action and completing annual performance reviews of staff. Plans, assigns and reviews the work of staff members.

Required for Grade 11
:Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
: A minimum of Eight (8) or more years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance management, or business management.
:Current SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
:Experience with facilities office space planning and personnel moves.
:Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Business Warehouse, knowledge management and collaboration tools, and purchase requisition tools.
:Ability to anticipate need for, develop, and implement business processes and reports to keep management informed of financial status.
:Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills
Required for Grade 12
:Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
