About the Position Guggenheim is seeking an Origination Associate with 2-3 years of commercial underwriting experience to help review, size and perform underwriting for CRE loans. This position will collaborate with the loan originators and senior management in the CRE Department. The associate will review and underwrite deals proposed by the loan origination team. The position is located in Los Angeles. Specific Responsibilities Include Analyze and evaluate prospective commercial loans Discuss/present deals to the credit and investment committees Interface with mortgage brokers related to deal packages received Structure deals to isolate and mitigate risks Write asset summary report Aid loan originator in closing loans Use CoStar, Argus, Rockport, Real Capital Analytics, TREPP and Excel to derive market information, property values, analyze cash flows, and calculate DSCR, Debt Yield and LTV Skills & Experience Required Bachelors degree or equivalent experience California BRE license 2-3 years of commercial real estate experience as an originator, appraiser, underwriter, equity analyst or other hands on relevant experience Good knowledge of commercial real estate fundamentals Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Ability to effectively work as an individual and as part of a team Ability to manage multiple transactions with an attention to detail in an efficient and timely manner Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word with working knowledge of both CoStar and Argus a plus About Guggenheim Commercial Real Estate Finance Guggenheim Commercial Real Estate Finance ( GCREF ) is a fully integrated commercial real estate lending business which focuses on originating, underwriting, closing and servicing commercial real estate debt products.
