Responsibilities 13;
The Modeling and Simulation Department (MSD) is involved in the design and implementation of large:scale, system:of:systems simulations and provides world:class analysis of the performance and utility of space, ground, and related systems for DoD, NRO, Civil, and Commercial Customers. Specific areas of focus include military utility analysis, communication architecture and network assessments, space resiliency, unmanned air systems, scenario and concept of operations development, model:based system engineering, and ballistic missile defense.
This is a summer graduate internship position in the Modeling and Simulation Department (MSD) to support the modeling, simulation, and analysis of space systems.

:?Define, develop and employ system models
:Use and develop operational scenarios
:Conduct tradeoff analysis
:Simulation of alternative architectures
:Participates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
:Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.

:Bachelors degree completed and currently enrolled at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Masters degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or related program
:Academic project or research experience is required
:Interest or experience in systems engineering, operations research, and/or the modeling and simulation of large:scale systems is required
:Excellent computing skills and the facility computer programs to solve complex problems is required
:Good problem solving and teaming skills, including the ability to identify, organize, prioritize, and ensure timely completion of tasks is required
:Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
:Knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Matlab, VBA, Python, C++, and Java
:Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
:Minimum GPA 3.0
:Must be able to obtain a security clearance
:US Citizenship required

:GPA 3.5 or higher
:Active security clearance
