Job Description
MARKETING ASSISTANT INTRODUCTION:
The ideal candidate must be charismatic, energetic, and must possess a creative mindset with high attention to detail. This role entails both in office and out in the field in a teamwork setting. The position has great potential for growth.
MARKETING ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
:Create and revise catalogs, brochures, sell sheets, ads and other printed and digital media to optimize product sales
:Develop creative marketing strategies for company product lines
:Research market trends to propose new packaging designs and product ideas
:Manage product posts, advertising, designs via Social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest)
:Work with mass:mail programs such as iContact, mail chimp, etc.
:Design, update, renovate company website in collaboration with website developer
:Work and manage expenses (prints, banners, photo shoots, etc.) according to a set budget
:Occasionally go out in the field with the Sales Department
:Assist the Sales department with promotion campaigns
:Host food demos of company products at retail outlets with attention to detail
:Coordinate food festival and trade show events and may be required to host events independently
MARKETING ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS AND
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
:2 years experience in Marketing or Bachelors Degree in Marketing with 1 year of relative experience
:Strong designer background preferred
:Computer literate in the following: MS Office, Email, Social Media
:Experience in Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator *required*
:Bilingual : English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
:Solid time management, organization, and ability to multitask simultaneously
:Effective interpersonal communication. Teamwork is a must
:Available to work weekends

Company Description
AFC, also known as American Food Company, was founded in 1975 in Alhambra, CA as a humble and modest soy foods manufacturer roughly producing 300 pounds of high quality tofu on a daily basis. In 1990, we moved to our current location where we now are able to produce 8 tons of tofu a day while efficiently and effectively increasing our manufacturing operations to meet the rapidly growing demands of our customers.
