We are seeking an Associate Test Engineer to join our Engineering Department. Job Summary
In this position, you will work with our design teams to ensure our new developments transition smoothly into production and meet all the performance specifications. In addition, you will be the go to person if test procedures and/or equipment doesnt perform as intended. This is a position for a highly motivated self:starter who has a desire to learn and advance their knowledge by taking on challenging tasks and developing viable solutions.
Ideally, you will have a Bachelors degree in Electronics or a related field and will be able to demonstrate practical real life examples of hardware and software you have developed. This is a hands:on position so you should have a good working knowledge of electronic test equipment and be able to troubleshoot and repair complex circuit boards. You should also be able to read electronic schematics and mechanical drawings. You will be a good communicator both verbally and in written communications. This will be essential, as you will need to write and maintain our production test procedures.
As you grow, we will expect you to learn how to maintain and develop new automated test equipment including both the hardware and the software and to work with our design teams to specify and implement cost effective test methodologies for our next generation of digitizers and sensors. With further training, you will also be responsible for technical support of our products and liaising with outside test facilities for new product testing. Our development teams goal is to find an individual who will work and learn with us to meet our test needs now and in the future.
This is a fast:paced environment so be prepared to drop everything and troubleshoot a problem on our production line that needs to be resolved quickly.
Bachelors Degree in
Engineering/Computer Science/Science or AA Degree in
Engineering/Computer Science/Science with 2 to 5 years of Relevant Industry Experience
Other Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
Knowledge of digital and analog electronics
Ability to use electronic test equipment, meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers.
Demonstrated real world experience on electronic hardware
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
Knowledge of productivity software, (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Knowledge of Orcad or other Schematic Capture Program
Programming in C, C++, Java, Python, Matlab, LabView or other high level language
