The recent devastation caused by the typhoon left Filipinos still in dire need of assistance. This fundraiser is sponsored by the Japanamation Club of Glendale Community College. Photography 101: Black & White photo course
Discover your inner Ansel Adams. Learn the art of taking photographs using a 35mm camera and black & white film. This course will introduce students to photographic equipment, materials, processes and philosophy. Digital Photography for Beginners
This course will give you the essential skills needed to get started with digital photography. Students will learn about camera controls, resolution, memory cards and downloading images to your computer. Course covers composition, printing, emailing photos and using software such as Adobe Photoshop. D. M. Gremlin Studios       Monthly Open House Night Once again, D. M. Gremlin Studios in Long Beach, CA is opening the studio doors for our monthly Open House event on Oct. 23 from 6pm-midnight! This free monthly event is hosted by studio ownership, along with our workshop instructors photographer Adam Chilson and bodypainter/makeup artist Lisa Berczel. Full information for the event is at the Open House web site. As always, this is the night of the month that we open up the doors for facilities tours of our $15/hr rental photography studio and $35/hr recording studio. We'll have our usual socializing, meet & greet, and networking through the studio and backlot, and at least one room set up for casual photo shooting. This month's event will also be a costume party. We had an amazing Zombie Event in July, and we're opening our pre-Halloween gathering up to all kinds of creatures! RSVP is required to the studio's email address, studio@dm-gremlin.com, at least 48 hours in advance of the event. Please specify how many will be attending! The event is free and open to all, but we must know who and how many people to expect in the studio that evening. Lots of candid and photo shoot images from our past Open House events can be found in the Photography Events section of the studio's forums. We hope to meet some more of our talented local photographers, models, stylists, and musicians at this month's event!
